Three Days Missing A Novel of Psychological Suspense Kimberly Belle Books

I started getting all caught up in the book. It was well written, held my attention, and suspense filled. There were just enough suspects that I kept trying to guess, but never got quite enough info to figure out who had abducted the missing boy. The author definitely knows how to tickle my interest and keep me reading and guessing.
The problem that I had was this: would a big Atlanta police force and the FBI Really be sharing information with the mother AND listening to her suggestions. Would she be allowed to be at the crime scene and actually have a detective driving her around and calling her to keep her updated on each detail.? I tend to think NOT.
I was disappointed that the author did not do her research. I personally love fiction, but unless it is also fantasy, it should be based in fact—research, please, when a book is written.

Three Days Missing A Novel of Psychological Suspense Kimberly Belle Books Reviews

I really enjoy this author. Marriage lie was extremely good so I knew she wouldn’t disappoint with this one. I was surprised at the ending, especially who the kidnapper was but I had it figured out a chapter or two before it was revealed. I hated Sammy’s secrets. Especially what was revealed in the ending about what he really knew. He definitely was a spoiled brat! Great read! Love this author.
When a child goes missing, two mothers’ lives collide in a shocking way in this suspenseful novel from the bestselling author of The Marriage Lie.

It’s every parent’s worst nightmare the call that comes in the middle of the night. When Kat Jenkins awakens to the police on her doorstep, her greatest fear is realized. Her nine-year-old son, Ethan, is missing–vanished from the cabin where he’d been on an overnight class trip. Shocked and distraught, Kat rushes to the campground, but she’s too late; the authorities have returned from their search empty-handed after losing Ethan’s trail in the mountain forest.

Another mother from the school, Stef Huntington, seems like she has it all money, prominence in the community, a popular son and a loving husband. She hardly knows Kat, except for the vicious gossip that swirls around Kat’s traumatic past. But as the police investigation unfolds, Ethan’s disappearance has earth-shattering consequences for Stef, as her path crosses with Kat. As the two mothers race against the clock, their desperate search for answers reveals how the greatest dangers lie behind the everyday smiles of those they trust the most.

My Thoughts Kat Jenkins has been struggling as a single mom and trying to handle issues with her abusive ex-husband. Her genius son Ethan, 9 years old, is the one bright spot in her life. A school camping trip in the mountains looks like a great getaway for Ethan, so Kat gives permission.

But when Kat gets word from the police that her son is missing from the campsite, her world comes crashing down.

Meanwhile, Atlanta Mayor Sam Huntington and his wife Stef are caught up in the danger when their son Sammy, also on the camping trip, becomes a part of someone’s dangerous plan.

How will Kat and Stef find common ground and work together to find Ethan? What, if anything, will Sammy do to assist? I enjoyed the back and forth between Kat and Stef, as the layered story offered glimpses into the emotional and family conflicts, as well as the intensity that develops within a family in the spotlight.

A page turning book, Three Days Missing, kept me caught up in the frightening events that would ultimately change all of their lives. 5 stars.
Having read Kimberly Belle's two previous books, I had had this one on preorder for some time. I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. But I wasn't prepared for this one to be even better than her previous two. This is a tight, rollercoaster of a read that hits at the very heart of every mother. As the mother of a son I understood Kat's terror. The fact that I also shared having divorced my son's father made for a one-two punch. I had picked up on the bread crumbs scattered throughout the story and figured out who had set the botched kidnapping in motion. But that's no criticism of Ms. Belle's writing. I read a LOT of suspense/thrillers.

Can't wait to see where she goes with book #4.
📚 BOOK REVIEW 📚

As a mother, Three Days Missing grabbed on to my heartstrings and didn't let go until the very end. I cannot imagine, sending my son off to a school trip, where he mysteriously goes missing. It's a parents biggest nightmare!

The protagonist Kat, had such a raw quality about her. I found a connection with her quickly and felt her every emotion throughout the chapters. I really enjoyed how Kimberly established the importance of every character. Each individual played a role in the developing story and I was on the edge of my seat to find out what happened to Ethan.

I loved how the intensity and nail-biting anticipation was consistent. Never a dull moment! The suspense behind every encounter, left you calculating if it had a part in the disappearance. The ending was exciting and it threw me for a loop that I wasn't expecting.

Overall, a great thriller that'll keep you on your toes. If you are looking for a suspenseful read that strays away from the typical murder or serial killer theme, then Three Days Missing is the way to go! 🌟🌟🌟🌟.5

I really loved this book. I started reading it and could not put it down. I had recently read another of her books, The Marriage Lie. It was good, but I didn’t feel the need to read it at a breakneck speed. When I picked up Three Days Missing, I was expecting a good book, but it surpassed my expectations. I liked the characters, I liked their stories, and I really did find myself tearing through the book, I could not wait to see how it ended. There are some characters in this book I would love to see again, no names because of spoilers, but I really liked the characters. Read this book, you will enjoy it. Highly recommended.
